Truffle Hunt
October through December
We will go on a truffle hunt in the bosco (forest) with a triflau (truffle hunter). At one time the Magnatum Pico (known as the Alba White Truffle) grew voraciously throughout the region. With the increase in grape vines as well as the general global warming trend their numbers are diminishing as the price increases. Yet there is nothing else like this culinary gem. After our early morning truffle hunt, and an espresso corretto, we will tour one of the regions most notable wineries before we eat tajarin and other specialties in a classic family run trattoria.
